About the event

Grief is not a problem to solve, but an experience to be witnessed, held, and honored. In this workshop, clinicians will learn how to use sandtray play therapy to gently navigate the landscape of loss with children, adolescents, and families. Through an integration of neuroscience, the Therapeutic Powers of Play, and symbolic expression, participants will explore how the sandtray becomes a container for grief by allowing clients to externalize, process, and make meaning of their experiences in ways that feel safe, embodied, and deeply attuned.

In this experiential workshop, clinicians will explore how sandtray play therapy offers a developmentally responsive and symbolically rich approach to supporting children, adolescents, and families navigating grief and loss. This training will provide practical, trauma-informed interventions to help clients externalize loss, process complex emotions, and integrate their experiences in ways that feel safe, contained, and honoring of their unique grieving process.
